Spotlight on Third Grade

During the month of May 3rd grade students will be studying fairytale elements. After studying several mentor texts and practicing re-telling they will then begin working on their own fairytales.

The goal is for students to use dialogue and descriptions to plan, write, enhance, and revise their own original fairytale. Here are some photos of students working on a fairytale scavenger hunt where they were looking for mentor texts that feature various fairytale elements.

The Dream Rocket Project

Mrs. B's3rd Grade class participated in a group project known as The Dream Rocket Project with their art teacher Mrs. Moschberger. They created large scale paintings as small groups that depict a scene from Washington's Headquarters in Morristown, NJ.  They were sent to the individual running the program and she has posted their artwork and their artwork will also be on display at the site in June until September.
